A New VR Game for the Fans of Peaky Blinders

Have you ever wanted to experience the atmosphere of 1920s England when violent gangs roamed the streets? Did you love the gruesome atmosphere of the Peaky Blinders TV show? Then get your VR headset ready, because Maze Theory has promised to release a new VR game The King’s Ransom dedicated to this show later this year.

This game will allow the players to assume to role of a wanted criminal who has been evading a firing squad for many years. In their pursuit of survival, this unnamed character asks the infamous Tommy Shelby, the leader of Birmingham’s criminal gang the Peaky Blinders, for help.

Naturally, this type of help will come with many strings attached and the player will see the underbelly of the criminal world and will have to make tough moral choices if they want to survive.

Currently, there is not much information about what the gameplay will be like, but Maze Theory, the developer of this game, is promising that the players will be free to explore all the most popular locations of the TV series, including Shelby’s Betting Shop, the Garrison pub, and Charlie’s Yard.

The players can expect to meet many popular characters from the show, including Arthur Shelby who is voiced by Paul Anderson himself. New characters will also be added to drive the story plot forward. These encounters are promised to be very lifelike since Maze Theory will be implementing a new AI system that will adjust the attitude of NPCs based on the player’s actions.

The game’s description on the Steam page promises “visceral combat” and “frequent violence”, so we can expect this game to be pretty gruesome, especially considering the fact that it is based on the Peaky Blinders TV show.

The release date for this game wasn’t revealed yet, but it is expected to become available in the second half of 2022. The future price of this game is also unknown. One thing that we do know is that this game will be available to users of Valve Index, HTC Vive, and Meta Quest 2.
